Evaluations are held each season for all ages except ragball.  This allows the coaches to see how each player can hit, throw, catch, and run.  Evaluations are usually held the third week of February on a Saturday (weather permitting).  You will be contacted through email and phone with a specific date and time for you to attend.

Other Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I determine which age group my child plays in?

A: The cutoff date for spring baseball is April 30 of the current year.  (Example, if your child will turn 7 years old on April 29th, they will play in the 7/8 age group during the current season)

Q: What is Park Day?

A: Park Day is a community event where all of our baseball and softball teams play at home.  We will have vendors, inflatables for the kids, and other fun activities throughout the day.  It is the largest fundraiser we do for our park each year.

Q: What days could practices and/or games be held?

A: Due to the amount of teams we field each season, there is no way to tell you a specific day of the week or time when your child's team will practice.  However, practices are generally held on either Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, or Saturday.  Weeknight practices generally are an hour long and start at either 6pm, 7pm, or 8pm.  Saturday practices could start as early as 9am or as late as 8pm.  We encourage our coaches of our younger age teams to schedule practices earlier in the evening, however it is not a guarantee.

Before games begin, teams usually practice twice per week, but it could be more or less depending on the coach.  Once games begin, most teams will continue to practice at least once per week, but it could be more.

Q: Where are games played?

A: The majority of our home games will be played at Traditions Park.  Some games may be played at the old fields on Bent Tree Drive depending on field availability.  Away games may be played at any of our 31 North parks (Corner, Warrior, Morris, Gardendale, or Fultondale)

Q: How many games can we expect to play each season?

A: Our regular season usually consists of anywhere from 13-15 games.  You will also get at least two additional games in the preseason tournament.
