I’m getting a lot of questions lately regarding a few different subjects so I’m sending out this information to try and clear some of this up.
Jerseys are done and I will be picking them up Wednesday evening. I will be scheduling a time Thursday for coaches to be able to pick up their teams jerseys and shorts.
Spirit Wear Orders
Spirit Wear Orders are due this Saturday morning at the middle school gym. You can turn them in at the gate table in the lobby. Payment is required with the order. If paying with cash, please put the order form and money in an envelope with your name or the child’s name on the outside of the envelope. If paying with check, please attach the check to the order form. (staple, paperclip, etc). Orders will be ready for pickup at the games on January 6th.
Hayden Christmas Parade
Due to the parade tonight, ALL PRACTICES AT BOTH GYMS TONIGHT HAVE BEEN CANCELLED.
Dec 9th Games
There were a lot of questions on Facebook regarding our games and the remodeling of the middle school gym. I have been working with the middle school principal and she has told me that they will have the gym ready for us to play on Saturday. The schools have always been great to us and this is no exception. Games on Saturday, Dec 9th WILL BE PLAYED AS SCHEDULED.
All of our age groups are scheduled to be in a Christmas Jamboree with the North Jefferson basketball league (Gardendale, Fultondale, Morris, Warrior, Corner, and Hayden). These games will be played Dec 14th through Dec 19th. Exact dates and times are going to determined at a meeting Wednesday night. I should have the schedule posted online by Friday at the latest.
10U Girls, 13U Girls, and 15U Boys schedules
These age groups play in the North Jefferson league, their regular season does not technically start until the first week of January. Because of this, their regular season schedule will not be finalized for another week or so. As soon as the schedule is final I will post it, but right now all we know is regular season games for these age groups will start January 6th. They will play two games in the Christmas Jamboree Dec 14-19.
We are now taking nominations for the 2018 Baseball Commissioner and 2018 Softball Commissioner. If you are interested in nominating yourself or someone else, please contact Shea Layton at 205-543-0554 or attend one of the next two park board meetings on Oct 16 and Nov 20 at 6:30pm at the Hayden Community Center.
This will be voted on at the Nov 20 board meeting.
Registration for the 2017-2018 Hayden Basketball Season is now open. Cost of registration this year will be $90 and includes your child’s jersey. For an additional $15 you can purchase matching shorts.
In person registrations will be held at the Traditions Park upper concession stand on the following dates:
Oct 26 from 6pm until 8pm
Oct 29 from 2pm until 4pm.

Registration is $85 and includes jersey only. In baseball, we will be using the same hats we used during spring baseball. If you did not play spring baseball or if you just need a new hat, please be sure to check the appropriate box during registration.

Traditions Park, our new facility, is almost finished. Here in the final days of this project, we need your help to complete construction. We are looking to raise $50,000 in the next 30 days to help us achieve our goal of opening the park this summer. We appreciate any donation that you can make, no matter the amount.

Registration fee for football is $150
Registration fee for cheerleading is $345 ($40 is the registration fee plus $305 for the cheer package which includes everything needed for the season)

We sent emails to everyone registered but just to be sure that noone misses it, evaluation times for baseball are as follows:
- 5/6 – Friday, February 24 @ 7:00PM
- 7/8 – Saturday, February 24 @ 10:00AM
- 9/10 – Saturday, February 24 @ 12:00PM
- 11/12 – Saturday, February 24 @ 2:00PM
Ragball (3 and 4 year olds) will not have an evaluation. Teams will be split up by the baseball commissioner and contact sheets given to the coaches. You should receive a call from your coach by the end of next week.

Baseball registration is $145 and includes jersey and hat.
Softball registration is $130 and includes jersey.
In-person registration dates will be Friday, Feb 10th from 6pm until 8pm and Saturday, Feb 11th from 9am until noon. We will have sizing jerseys available at the in-person registration dates.
